Workability & Regional Occupational Program

The Career Center has many functions with one single purpose. That purpose is to get students thinking about their future after high school.

  • The Career Center provides a centralized location for college and career resources, college catalogs and printed materials for post-secondary education.
  • Individual assistance is available to help students use on line career assessment tools such as Bridges and occupational resources to investigate various careers.
  • Coastline ROP- (Kathleen Shannon) offers students the opportunity to learn about career interests through internships and earn elective credits. Internship sites include Hoag Hospital, Marriott’s Newport Coast, and South Coast Plaza. Internships also benefit college-bound students by providing experience related to a particular discipline which can enhance a college entrance essay. Career bound students benefit by gaining hands-on experience that develops knowledge and skills, leading them to higher paying positions after high school.
